Crown Support - Gary Upham

A graduate of Arizona State University, GARY UPHAM joined Crown in October of 1987 as a Sales Consultant at Crown Acura.

The former educator and musician "rose through the ranks" of Crown becoming a Financial Services Manager at Acura and then at the former Pontiac GMC BMW Audi Mitsubishi Superstore.

He was Sales Manager of several of the above franchises receiving numerous awards in those positions. He has also served the company as General Sales Manager of the "Superstore" and General Sales Manager at Honda Greensboro.

He served as Regional Financial Services Director for the company for thirteen years and has been a part of the extremely exciting growth that Crown has experienced. He started and developed a Business Manager's Certification class that has become a model for the rest of Asbury. Many of Crown's managers are graduates of that class.

In the fall of 2007, he took over the post of Director of Recruitment and Training where he is actively involved in finding and training new leaders for the company. 

Gary and wife Diane have three wonderful children. They also have a small dog that "really runs the show."

The most rewarding part of his job at Crown is helping people grow and develop. He thinks that the automotive industry, and Crown Automotive in particular, offers a wonderful opportunity for anyone!
